Dietitians are regulated healthcare
professionals who work to make it easier for the public to make healthy eating
choices. They translate scientific research about nutrition into practical
solutions for individuals, families, and organizations. You can find dietitians
working in hospitals, long-term care homes, public health units, family health
teams, and in private practice to name a few.

Health Unit work to make the healthy eating choice the easy choice where we
live, work, and play in order to improve the health of our population and
prevent nutrition-related disease. You can contact a dietitian at THU if you
are interested in working together to make the healthy choice the easy choice

If you are interested in meeting
with a dietitian one-on-one, this is a service available to local Family Health
Team and Community Health Centre clients. Dietitians can meet with clients to
discuss a variety of nutrition topics such as: infant feeding, weight
management, managing a condition such as diabetes, emotional eating, sports
nutrition, and many more!
