April is Oral Health Month!
Colouring Contest - In celebration of Oral Health Month, we’re hosting a colouring contest this month for children (up to 12 years old). Download or stop by one of our office locations to pick up a copy. Return your finished masterpiece to us by April 30 for a chance to win a prize.

Good oral health is important for your overall quality of life. Oral pain, missing teeth or oral infections can influence the way you speak, eat and socialize. As a result, these oral health problems can affect your physical, mental and social well-being.
There are many ways we can help. Here are the dental programs we have to offer at the Timiskaming Health Unit.
The Ontario Seniors Dental Care Program provides dental treatment and coverage to low-income seniors age 65+. |
The Healthy Smiles Ontario Program provides dental treatment and coverage to children and youth 17 years and under. |
Dental screenings are completed in all publically funded schools in our area annually.

Dental screenings and fluoride varnish applications are offered to all licensed daycare children and Early ON centers in our area twice per school year. |
