Get moving for at least 150 minutes each week

Adults need to be active for at least 150 minutes each week. This can be broken down into blocks of 10-15 minutes. Activities like walking, taking the stairs, biking, or any activity that gets you moving counts! 

 

Regular physical activity:

  • Lowers risk of developing type 2 diabetes, heart disease, stroke and cancer
  • Helps to lower stress
  • Boosts body’s ability to fight germs and sickness
