Blender Bike

The Blender Bike is a fun and exciting way to promote healthy eating and physical activity at events in the Timiskaming area.

To borrow the Blender Bike, check the documents found here and submit the completed request form to the Timiskaming Health Unit (contact included in the form).

Body Image Display board

(available in English and French)

Grades: 6-12

Interactive display board and spinning wheel that promotes a healthy body image for youth in grade 6-12.

Youth are invited to participate in a “Spin the Wheel” game and answer questions about:

• Healthy eating
• Physical activity
• Self-esteem
• Lifestyle issues (e.g., tobacco, sexual health, substance misuse, mental health, stress, sun safety)

Questions are designed to:

• Raise awareness about the factors that influence body image
• Educate youth about health promoting behaviours
• Stimulate discussion on healthy lifestyle choices

Freggie

GlitterBug helps educators break down students' preconceptions about hand hygiene and train them how to clean their hands effectively. It’s great for all ages from kindergarten to seniors.
